Idina Menzel With Jimmy Fallon “Let It Go”
The 2014 Academy Awards on Sunday night gave us a number of memorable moments – the pizza guy, the “selfie,” a new type of advertising via Samsung and, uh, Adele Dazeem. That is to say, John Travolta offered a tremendous introduction to Idina Menzel’s performance of “Let It Go.” Unfortunately, he failed to stick the landing and butchered her name.
It spawned internet memes, theories of causation and a handy, dandy widget by which to “Travoltify” one’s name.
Menzel took it in stride (or perhaps didn’t hear it) and belted out a sped-up version of the song from the $1B film. She then took to “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” to participate in the ongoing tradition of reproducing hit songs with The Roots using children’s instruments.
