Harmon’s 2019 First-Round NFL Mock Draft
Alright – it’s time to start tossing darts ahead of Thursday’s First Round of the NFL Draft.
I know it can be a crazy night with myriad trades and surprises across the board. We’ve been inundated with a lot of rumors, conjectures and speculation …. about Kyler Murray.
Let’s face it. The future NFL home of the Heisman Trophy winner has been the runaway freight train. I had some fun with my mock draft and got Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden to pony up the fourth and 24th picks (along with other considerations not included in this mock) to go get Murray. It just feels like a big splash is on the horizon.
Quinnen Williams, Nick Bosa and Ed Oliver are the other big prizes atop the board in this defense-heavy draft.
You’ll notice that my First-Round Mock Draft only includes that trade. I would love to throw darts and fire off a bevy of other deals. Let’s face it. There are few teams that aren’t predicted to have some deal in the offing … and those are the teams that probably leave us confused and reacting.
The Chiefs’ acquisition of Frank Clark shuffled up the back-end of the first round – but that was a ripple. There are waves on the horizon, but I’ll leave that for tomorrow’s update.
Either way, it’s good to put fingers to the keyboard again and get things rolling. We’re gonna retool the site and have some fun … just you wait.
Now, here’s the First-Round Mock Draft for 2019. It’s pulled together from watching the 256 glorious games of 2018, offseason movements and the review of beat writers and national scribes’ sentiments and predictions. I’m taking credit for any of these 32 gentlemen that end up with the team predicted here, regardless of trades and any lunacy that flows on Thursday Night.
Listen to Jason Smith and me break down the draft on FOX Sports Radio after the madness in Tennessee subsides. Tune in starting at 8p ET/5p PT to hear Rob Stone anchor the coverage alongside Joel Klatt, Chris Spielman and unbeaten insider Jay Glazer.
I promise. Jay Glazer’s given me zero information as of this writing.
