Week 12 Waivers: Hillman and Brown Lead The Way
It’s the stretch run in fantasyland, and owners are rolling toward to
Ronnie Hillman, RB, DEN: Willis McGahee is out indefinitely. Hillman logged 15 touches for 59 yards in a workload split with Lance Ball in McGahee’s absence.
Bryce Brown, RB, PHI: Brown logged five carries for 35 yards in relief of LeSean McCoy late in the Week 11 loss to Washington. The Kansas State product gets a spot on the national stage against the Panthers. That’s, um, the Monday night game for Week 12.
Ryan Broyles, WR, DET: Titus Young was sent home for repeated attitude issues, putting Broyles on the radar for a deep WR3 spot against the Texans on Thanksgiving.
LaRod Stephens-Howling, RB, ARI: Stephens-Howling rushed for over 100 yards against the Falcons. He’s not a rock-solid start against the Jets, but he’s logging a workload worthy of back-end RB2 consideration.
Danario Alexander, WR, SD: Why haven’t you picked him up yet? He scored another two touchdowns in Week 11, and has become a weekly WR3, at worst. He caught 7-of-11 targets against the Broncos for 96 yards.
Jermichael Finley, TE, GB: Finley finally returned to the end zone after a lengthy absence in Week 11. He’s currently available for one-third of FOXSports.com leagues as disappointed owners jumped off the bandwagon. Dwayne Allen and Tony Moeaki (Dwayne Bowe is OUT) are among the other tight end options (I’ll assume Brandon Myers was claimed earlier) to consider with Rob Gronkowski sidelined.
Harry Douglas, WR, ATL: Julio Jones’ status for Week 12 is in question, putting the deep threat on the radar for larger leagues.
Chad Henne, QB, JAC: Henne replaced Blaine Gabbert in Week 11 and passed for 354 yards and four touchdowns in the upset bid against Houston. Alas, the Jaguars fell short in their effort. However, he’s on the board for Week 12 against the Titans and their suspect secondary. You can check to see if Justin Blackmon is floating on the wire as well following his breakout game. Cecil Shorts III should not be available at this juncture.
TY Hilton, WR, IND: Hilton logged a triple-digit yardage total and scored twice in the Colts’ blowout loss to the Patriots. It was his second 100-yard game in three weeks. Andrew Luck keeps throwing 40+ passes each week, and Donnie Avery may miss time because of a concussion.
