Spinning My Wheels: Harmon’s Fantasy Auto Racing Team For Bristol

The Sprint Cup Series takes its first run on a short track this week as drivers seek to dominate “The Bullring” at Bristol Motor Speedway. The crews were dealing with weather issues early on Sunday morning, and we’ll certainly be monitoring precipitation as the countdown to the starter’s call winds to zero.

Before the flag drops, I’m offering up an abbreviated SMW piece for this week featuring my team.

I had to use the “chalk” this time out with Kyle Busch. The four-time Bristol winner started the race weekend well, pulling to a victory in the Nationwide Series and claiming the pole for Sunday’s tilt. Busch anchors this week’s squad.

YouTube and viral video sensation Jeff Gordon also takes a seat for Team Harmon this week. Gordon owned a 13.2-position average finish in the past five years, including three top-5 runs.

Jeff Burton and David Reutimann round out the squad for this week.

They’re already in action as I complete the post. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.
