Harmon’s Full 2014 First-Round NFL Mock Draft
With just a few hours until Roger Goodell strides to the podium in New York, I couldn’t withstand the impulse to finally toss up a full first-round mock draft. I recognize that there will be a number of trades and other surprises to blow this up, but I would be remiss if I didn’t submit my own dartboard.
Part of me (the wide-eyed fanboy) wants to see Cleveland grab Watkins at No. 4 and somehow trade back up to get their hands on Manziel.
Naturally, the idea of Manziel playing in Houston would be interesting for a couple reasons.
The NFL is using the “Walk-Up Song” convention for the draft, and well, I’d suggested WWE/boxing-style entrances on FOX Sports Radio, so it works. I’d love to see a Floyd Mayweather-type entrance. And, Manziel’s selection by the Texans would create chaos in the Dallas Cowboys war room.
Anyway, I’d pieced together much of this at the start of the week and I’ll just transcribe it from the wrinkled, coffee-stained piece of paper. Here goes nothing.
