FMC: Peyton Manning, QB & Etiquette Coach
Peyton Manning has long thrilled football fans, from his time as a member of the Tennessee Volunteers to Indianapolis to Denver. He’s given us countless laugh-out-loud moments as a pitchman, and his Saturday Night Live hosting gig is on the medal stand for athlete appearances (see an example below).
I give Manning the Fantasy Man-Crush nod this week nod for a pass thrown, but rather for his respect of the game. As they say, “Game knows game.” We know that Manning is a student of the game, a tireless worker on the field and the film room. This article from The Los Angeles Times points to Manning’s love of his craft and those who compete. He’s produced hand-written notes of appreciation to players and congratulated them on their careers and retirement.
I’m going to send him a note and some tapenade when he retires.
