Was “Royals” By Lorde Inspired By Billy Butler?

I came across an interesting blog on MLB.com that discussed the infectious hit “Royals” by Lorde.

Evidently, the Kansas City Royals are an inspiring bunch – straight to the top! – by signing baseballs.

“Royals” as a buzzword to inspire art. I suspect that the tune becomes integrated in the 2014 marketing push.
