The Oscars are already replete with star power. You have James Franco and Anne Hathaway holding it down as the hosts. George Clooney joins the mix as a presenter … and there’s a tribute to “Shrek” (sigh) as the Animated Feature category celebrates its 10th anniversary. I want Franco to win his category as a tribute to his willingness to push the envelope. How many other dudes are in the midst of the awards season and lock down on daytime television (General Hospital).
Now comes word that among the gadgets in this year’s goodie bags sits a plush toy of Heidi, The Cross-Eyed Possum. Television viewers have watched Heidi pick Oscar winners on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” so there’s a built-in audience. Tell me you don’t want one for your desk.
