Retaining A Sense Of Humor: Oakland Raiders Passer Rating
The Raiders were obliterated by the Broncos on Monday Night Football, as Peyton Manning posted the highest completion of his career (more than 20 attempts). Eric Decker, Julius Thomas and Wes Welker all caught touchdown passes. Demaryius Thomas recorded 10 receptions, and the running backs reportedly played rock-paper-scissors to decide who got the goal-line carry. Ronnie Hillman won with “rock.”
The administrators of the official Oakland Raiders Twitter account (@Raiders) had a bit of fun in the post-game breakdown of the game despite the lopsided result. Terrelle Pryor had his moments, the defense failed and, for the most part, Darren McFadden couldn’t fall forward against the Denver defensive front.
However, McFadden did complete his lone pass attempt for a 16-yard touchdown and executed a one-yard touchdown plunge in the fourth quarter. He finished as the 17th-highest scoring running back for the week despite generating just nine rushing yards on 12 attempts. He was not targeted in the passing game at all.
