Larry Donnell Benched Himself And Lost

Art Stapleton, a Giants beat reporter for The Record, offered a fantastic nugget on Twitter early Wednesday. He referenced Week 4 Fantasy Football hero Larry Donnell’s retelling of his own benching.

That’s right. All of the fantasy owners that were wringing their hands for benching or neglecting to pick up the big tight end were not along. Donnell benched himself in a fantasy league in favor of San Francisco 49ers star Vernon Davis … and cost himself a win.

 

Donnell had caught 18-of-23 targets through the first three weeks of the season, so he clearly had Eli Manning’s attention. Everybody in fantasyland climbed on the bandwagon quickly.
