OK, so the “Man-Crush” tag doesn’t quite fit, but it’s my game. So, here goes.

Congratulations to the US Women’s Soccer Team for advancing to the World Cup Final by defeating France by a score of 3-1. There were some anxious moments for the United States following that early goal that put them ahead 1-0. France seemed to gain momentum in the second half after tying things up, but they finished with a flurry.

The star of the tournament is goaltender Hope Solo. She’s the voice of the squad and the face being put out as the ambassador. A couple trading card companies wisely added Solo to their rosters for 2011 products. Topps included Solo in its Allen & Ginter product, while Upper Deck (see below) included Solo as part of its Goodwin Champions set.
