Ryan Mathews: Where Was He?

Mathews posted a solid yardage total on Monday night’s sloppy track in Kansas City, but he lost a fumble at the end of his biggest run of the night. He also disappeared down the stretch. We watched Mike Tolbert rumble for a 23-yard early in the fourth quarter and Darren Sproles on the field for much of the waning moments.

Mathews is clearly the lead in this backfield (19 carries for 75 yards), but the presence of these other backs clouds things a bit.
