Last Year’s Young Lions are Caged: STL & TB Make Changes
Last year, the Rams & Buccaneers captivated the football world with their youth-laden squads, led by up-and-coming quarterbacks.
We watched as a better schedule devoured both of these squads in 2011. As expected, Raheem Morris and Steve Spagnuolo were shown the door by the Buccaneers and Rams, respectively. Morris’ Buccaneers began a downward spiral in London against Chicago and never saw the win column again. The Week 17 loss to Atlanta was a flat-out embarrassment. I have no other word for it.
Spagnuolo’s team never found an identity and Sam Bradford struggled mightily when healthy.
I’ll be posting season reviews for each team later in the week and I’ll get deeper into these dismissals.
