Harmon Dart-Throwing First Round Mock 2025
Every year, I spend hours watching clips and hearing player evaluations leading up to the NFL Draft. And every year, I do my own dart-throwing exercise by posting a Mock Draft. It doesn’t include trades, though the noise about a couple slots as I write this is deafening.
My goal is always to get 10 or more players to the right teams. I don’t worry about the trades or slots – just getting the surname to the right logo.
Honestly, I’m rooting for chaos. The grand wish is to get Jerry Jones activated to make a big splash or for a veteran player like Hendrickson or Cousins to suddenly get shuffled to another team in a blockbuster deal. We’re all curious to see whether Dart or Sanders drafted in the first round. (Will teams trade back into the back-end of the first, or will they wait for second round “value?”) For the purposes of this exercise, they’re left off the grid.
Ashton Jeanty has the “IT” factor coming off of a big year for running backs. I keep trying to remind people through my FOX Sports Radio megaphone that Barkley, Jacobs and Henry all went to ready-made playoff-worthy squads with good offensive lines. Of the big offseason movers, only Joe Mixon changed squads and posted big numbers behind a suspect front five.
We’ve got a number of offensive and defensive linemen included herein. Most bemoan the lack of “star power” for this year’s draft. I call it a “reset” or “stocking the cupboard” draft. It can’t always be sexy.
Well, then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
