Day Baseball: Braves Beat Up Mets

Jair Jurrjens struggled against the Mets on Wednesday afternoon. He completed only four innings before being lifted for Cristhian Martinez (the eventual victor).

Despite allowing four earned runs on seven hits and four walks in that brief appearance, he actually out-pitched R.A. Dickey. Dickey was tagged for eight earned runs on eight hits and two walks. Three of those eight hits were home runs (Uggla, Freeman and Francisco).

The Braves scored two or more runs in six of eight at-bats!
