The Creativity of Minor League Baseball at Work: Saints Drop the “S”
I saw the headline referenced on a Twitter feed last week and thought that I needed to evangelize. Oh, wait. That’s the point of “A Night for Unbelievable Fun” at a Saint Paul Saints home game in early August. The minor league squad is being sponsored for a night by the Minnesota Atheists.
For a day, they’ll become the St. Paul Aints, and all signage in the stadium will drop the leading “S.”
The jerseys will then be auctioned off for charity.
Does this kill the joke during down years when the Saints are struggling, or do you get a nostalgic “Remember the day?”
