I was traversing the Los Angeles Times during my morning coffee break and stumbled across this article from Matt Pearce. Now, I was already aware of a hoax that was perpetrated in Oregon where someone ordered some 6,000 boxes of cookies on behalf of a business. The community rallied to reduce inventory and make up for the large outstanding credit line.
This article sheds light on a growing epidemic whereby warehouses of Girl Scout Cookies are being broken into and inventories stolen. Check out the pattern of here.
