Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly Sits Andre Ethier: Summer of Discontent Ahead

Embattled Dodgers manager Don Mattingly was asked why outfielder Andre Ethier was not in the starting lineup for Wednesday’s matchup against the Brewers. Mattingly’s answer was posted on the am570radio website. He talked of wanting a team that he could “trust would fight and compete the whole day.” The reporter asked about Ethier against specifically, and Mattingly reiterated his answer.

The happy times in Magic Johnson’s Los Angeles have ended.
